If you’re in the product ID business, or anywhere in the supply chain for that matter, you may want to download this barcode clock by Scott Blake. I’m not usually amused by digital novelties and screen savers and such but this really fascinated me. Here’s how he explains how he did it:
I created this web clock using code from a JavaScript resource found on the Internet. I replaced the standard digits with my own barcode files to convert time into a hypnotic pattern. The actual numbers take up a considerably small space to leave room for the black and white code to animate.
I think we should see if Mr. Blake would create a clock like this that counts backwards from the day, date, and hour at which GS1 becomes the official global standard.
