I’m going to San Antonio for the AHRMM Annual Conference next week. I anticipate a hot event in more ways than one. First, I just checked out the long-range 7-day weather forecast here. But even hotter than that will be, I expect, all the buzz being generated around GS1, and concerns throughout the health care supply chain about people’s ‘readiness’ to meet the 2010 deadline with compliant product labeling solutions.

I’ll be there scoping out the exhibits and trying to learn more about the current state of GS1 adoption — ‘are you ready?’ — by global healthcare product providers. I’d also like to hear about any obstacles people are encountering with GS1 adoption. It’s likely we at Loftware might have a smart, quick solution that can help some get from A to B with less difficulty, less cost, and in less time…

If you’re attending the event and would like to have a conversation, please let me know. I’ll be there with Loftware’s Healthcare Specialist, Chris Piela, and we’d be delighted to have a conversation. You can email me at CLIttle at-sign loftware dot com.
