‘Community Room’ sounds like a term used to describe a parlor at the senior center, doesn’t it? Well, maybe. But in this case, it is a place sponsored by GS1 for companies, as they put it …to influence the development and implementation of GS1 standards for in the supply chain to ensure that they meet your company’s needs and those of your business partners. In addition, by participating in the various GS1 Business Reqiurements, Work and Action Groups, you will be able to exchange experiences with other companies involved in implementing GS1 standards.
Here is the link to the Community Room application process. I poked around a little and discovered they also offer a list of ‘Participating Companies.’ You may want to scan this as well to confirm that you won’t be lonely in the Community Room.
